- ARTIST STATEMENTIllusion intrigues me. After learning about the basics of symmography in high school algebra, I started combining math and art. The merger of the two has evolved from two-dimensional lines on paper to three-dimensional string on frame. After taking a printing course in college and studying serigraphy, I began incorporating silk screening into my art. I would stretch the string on the back of a silk screen printer and pull the paint through the screen, creating a unique effect with each pull. Many of my current works combine strings on frames with silk screen print backgrounds; the combination draws the viewer in close to study the detail while creating an intriguing illusion from a distance.
- ARTIST STATEMENTMy art is awesome because it brings beauty to the eye. It gives the veiwer an everlasting splash of color that will never fade. With the sunshine, one can revel in the true beauty of color.
- ARTIST STATEMENTEveryone likes a classic black and white portrait. I take that same concept and add a color to it. All of my pieces are made with a main color and white to create a tint. I pick colors that represent the personality of the subject.
